Park Street Renovation - Alameda
The corner building at Park & Central in Alameda was originally built in 1890 and remodeled in 1938 in the Streamline Moderne style. We renovated the 30,000 sf building, converting the single tenant bank use to a mixture of restaurants, boutiques and offices to create a lively vitality to downtown Alameda. Steel bracing allowed a mix of smaller retail spaces, opening up to the street with tall storefronts and doors. The project received a preservation award by the Alameda Preservation Historic Society.
